Police in Rajasthan investigate a shocking double death in Bhilwara district as officials confirm a domestic crime followed by suicide
Jaipur: A tragic and deeply disturbing incident has emerged from Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district, where a man allegedly killed his teenage son and later died by suicide, police confirmed on Friday. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, prompting a detailed investigation by district authorities.
Incident Reported From Bhilwara District
According to the police, the incident took place in Bhilwara, where a 13-year-old boy was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence. Shortly after the alleged crime, the father reportedly consumed a poisonous substance and was rushed to hospital, where he later succumbed during treatment.
Victims Identified by Police
Police identified the accused as Radheshyam Vaishnav, a resident of Badla village, and the deceased minor as his son, Vansh Vaishnav. Officials said preliminary findings suggest a domestic dispute, though the exact motive is yet to be ascertained.
Official Statement From Local Police
Confirming the incident, Babulal Bishnoi, Circle Officer of Mandalgarh, stated that the accused allegedly attacked his son before attempting to end his own life. The police have registered a case and initiated further investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
Emergency Medical Response
After the incident, villagers immediately alerted authorities and shifted the injured man to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.
“The incident is extremely unfortunate. We are investigating all angles, including family circumstances and mental health aspects,” said a senior police official.

Police teams are questioning relatives and neighbors while collecting forensic evidence from the scene. Officials said post-mortem examinations have been conducted, and further legal action will depend on the final reports.
