An unidentified car allegedly rammed a motorcycle carrying three men near R.S. Doddi in Hanur taluk and fled the scene.

Three men from Koppa village were killed after an unidentified car allegedly hit their motorcycle from behind near R.S. Doddi in Hanur taluk, Chamarajanagar district.

Chamarajanagar: Three men were killed in a road accident near R.S. Doddi in Hanur taluk of Chamarajanagar district late at night after an unidentified car allegedly hit their motorcycle from behind and fled the scene.


The deceased have been identified as Ramesh, Suresh and Muniyappa, all residents of Koppa village in Hanur taluk.


Motorcycle Hit By Unidentified Car Near R.S. Doddi

According to the information available, the three men were travelling by motorcycle from Koppa village towards Kollegala through the R.S. Doddi route at night for urgent work.

During their journey, an unidentified car allegedly approached the motorcycle from behind at high speed and collided with it.

The impact caused the three men to suffer severe injuries. All three reportedly died at the accident spot.


Car Driver Allegedly Fled After Collision

The car involved in the accident reportedly did not stop after hitting the motorcycle and fled from the scene.

The identity of the vehicle and its driver has not yet been established.

Hanur police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and efforts are underway to identify and trace the vehicle involved.


Hanur Police Examine CCTV Footage

After receiving information about the accident, Hanur police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.

Police reportedly collected broken vehicle parts found at the accident site. These materials are being examined as part of the investigation into the vehicle involved.

Police are also examining CCTV camera footage from the road and surrounding areas in an effort to identify the car and trace its driver.


Bodies Sent For Post-Mortem Examination

The bodies of the three deceased were shifted to the government hospital in Kollegala for post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered at the Hanur Police Station in connection with the accident.

Police have continued their investigation to identify the unidentified vehicle, trace its driver and establish the circumstances leading to the fatal collision.
