Kothagudem: A clash between two groups reportedly broke out inside the Kothagudem Three Town Police Station in Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district following a dispute allegedly linked to an extramarital affair.
According to the available information, the disagreement initially began with a verbal argument before escalating into physical attacks. The two groups allegedly continued fighting even after reaching the police station premises.
Bhadradri Kothagudem Dispute Escalates Inside Station
The confrontation reportedly intensified inside the police station, with members of both groups allegedly attacking each other. Women from the two sides were also involved in the confrontation and were seen grabbing each other’s hair during the altercation.
At the time, several Three Town police personnel were reportedly deployed for Vinayaka immersion duties, leaving fewer personnel at the station. The gathering subsequently created tension on the station premises as the groups continued their confrontation.
Police personnel attempted to control the situation, but the groups allegedly refused to stop.
Kothagudem Police Detain People For Questioning
As the situation became difficult to control, night-duty constables reportedly intervened and closed the station doors at one stage before sending the people involved outside.
Police later dispersed both groups and detained some of those involved for questioning. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the clash and determine responsibility.
The incident has drawn local attention because the confrontation continued inside a police station, where the two groups had reportedly gone in connection with the original dispute.
