The attacks come just days after the death of a one-and-a-half-year-old girl in Raichur following a stray dog attack, intensifying public concern over the growing menace and prompting renewed demands for immediate action by civic authorities.
Four-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured in Raichur Stray Dog Attack
According to officials, the latest incident occurred in the Maliyabar area on the outskirts of Raichur, where four-year-old Gopal was playing near his house when a group of stray dogs allegedly attacked him.
The dogs reportedly inflicted severe injuries to the child's head, causing extensive damage to his scalp. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Raichur city, where he is undergoing treatment.
Doctors are continuing to monitor his condition, which has been described as critical.

Residents Demand Immediate Action Against Stray Dog Menace

In a separate development, stray dogs attacked four children in different parts of Chitradurga city on the same day.
The incidents were reported from Chelagudda and Nehru Nagar, where children aged between five and six years were allegedly attacked while playing near their homes.
Among those injured are Aleena, Adil, and Manvith, along with another child. All four were admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
