Karnataka Police have arrested multiple accused in three separate sexual assault cases reported from Mysuru district and Devanahalli in Bengaluru Rural. The cases include the alleged gang rape of a woman from West Bengal, an attempted sexual assault on a minor, and the alleged rape of a minor girl after she was lured from her home. Investigations are underway in all three cases.


Mysuru: Karnataka Police have arrested multiple accused in three separate sexual assault cases reported from Mysuru district and Devanahalli in Bengaluru Rural district. The incidents include the alleged gang rape of a woman from West Bengal, an attempted sexual assault on a minor girl, and the alleged rape of another minor after she was allegedly lured away by the accused.


The arrests were made in separate operations following complaints registered by the victims and their families. Police said investigations in all three cases are continuing.


Woman from West Bengal Allegedly Gang Raped in T. Narasipura

According to police, a woman from West Bengal was allegedly abducted near a private bus stand in T. Narasipura town in Mysuru district two days ago.


Investigators said three accused allegedly took the woman to a lodge in Santhemaralli in Chamarajanagar taluk, where she was allegedly gang raped.


Following an investigation, T. Narasipura Police arrested three local residents identified as Kiran, Kishore and Ryan within 24 hours of the complaint. The accused have been produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

Police said the accused were arrested within 24 hours of the complaint after a search operation.

Attempted Sexual Assault on Minor in Nanjangud

In another case registered under the jurisdiction of Hullahalli Police Station in Nanjangud taluk, a 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a minor girl.


According to police, the accused allegedly entered the girl's house after her parents had left for work. The girl raised an alarm, following which neighbours rushed to the house, overpowered the accused and handed him over to the police. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.


Minor Girl Allegedly Lured and Sexually Assaulted in Devanahalli

A separate case reported from Devanahalli Police Station in Bengaluru Rural district relates to an incident that allegedly occurred on the night of July 17.


According to the police complaint, a woman identified as Renuka allegedly lured a minor girl to a temple before taking her in an autorickshaw. Police alleged that Renuka, along with Naveen and Venkataramana, took the girl to a building under construction, where she was allegedly forced to consume alcohol and sexually assaulted through the night.


Investigators said the accused allegedly abandoned the girl near her residence the following morning and threatened her with consequences if she disclosed the incident.


After the girl informed her mother, a complaint was lodged with Devanahalli Police. Officers subsequently arrested Naveen, Venkataramana and Renuka, and all three have been remanded to judicial custody.

Police said all accused named in the Devanahalli case have been arrested, and the investigation is in progress.

Police Continue Investigation into Separate Karnataka Cases

Police officials said all three incidents are being investigated independently under the relevant provisions of law. Authorities are collecting evidence, recording statements and completing further legal procedures in each case.
