Motorists using NICE Road, the Electronics City Flyover and Attibele Toll Plaza will pay revised toll charges from July 1, adding to the travel costs of daily commuters

Bengaluru commuters will have to pay higher toll charges from July 1, 2026, after revised rates came into effect on NICE Road, the Electronics City Elevated Expressway and the Attibele Toll Plaza. The increase is expected to significantly impact daily commuters, particularly IT professionals and commercial vehicle operators who frequently use these routes.


Bengaluru: In another blow to Bengaluru commuters already grappling with rising transportation expenses, toll charges on major road corridors, including NICE Road, the Electronics City Elevated Expressway (E-City Flyover) and the Attibele Toll Plaza, have been revised upwards with effect from July 1, 2026.


The revised toll rates are expected to increase the daily commuting costs for thousands of motorists, particularly IT employees, office-goers and commercial vehicle operators who rely on these routes for their daily travel.


The revision comes shortly after concerns over rising transportation costs in the city, further adding to the financial burden on regular commuters.

"The revised toll charges for NICE Road, the Electronics City Elevated Expressway and Attibele Toll Plaza have come into effect from July 1, 2026."

Bengaluru NICE Road Toll Hike Effective From July 1

The Nandi Economic Corridor Enterprises Limited (NECE) has revised toll charges for various stretches of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrastructure Corridor Project (BMICP).


The updated toll rates for cars travelling along different sections of NICE Road are:

  • Hosur Road – Bannerghatta Road: Rs. 72
  • Bannerghatta Road – Kanakapura Road: Rs. 53
  • Kanakapura Road – Cloverleaf Junction: Rs. 39
  • Cloverleaf Junction – Mysore Road: Rs. 36
  • Mysore Road – Magadi Road: Rs. 77
  • Magadi Road – Tumakuru Road: Rs. 61
  • Link Road: Rs. 83

Officials said the revised rates apply across the designated sections of the corridor from Hosur Road to Tumakuru Road.


Bengaluru Electronics City Flyover Toll Rates Revised

The toll charges on the Electronics City Elevated Expressway have also been increased by Bangalore Elevated Tollway Private Limited (BETPL).


According to the operator, the revision has been carried out based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) as of March 31, 2026, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)The revised toll rates will remain effective until June 30, 2027.


For cars, jeeps and vans, the revised charges are:

  • Single Journey: Rs. 65 (Earlier Rs. 60)
  • Multiple Journey: Rs. 100
  • Monthly Pass: Rs. 1,960

The revised toll rates for other vehicle categories are:

  • Two-Wheeler: Rs. 25 (Single), Rs. 40 (Multiple), Rs. 785 (Monthly)
  • Light Commercial Vehicle / Minibus: Rs. 90, Rs. 135, Rs. 2,745
  • Bus / Truck: Rs. 185, Rs. 275, Rs. 5,495
  • Multi-Axle Vehicle (MAV): Rs. 365, Rs. 550, Rs. 10,985

"The Electronics City Flyover toll revision has been implemented based on the Wholesale Price Index as per NHAI guidelines."

Bengaluru Attibele Toll Plaza Also Implements Revised Charges

Motorists travelling towards the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border via Hosur Road will also pay higher toll charges at the Attibele Toll Plaza from July 1.


The revised toll rates are:

  • Car / Jeep / Van: Rs. 40 (Single), Rs. 60 (Multiple), Rs. 1,175 (Monthly)
  • Light Commercial Vehicle / Minibus: Rs. 65, Rs. 100, Rs. 1,960
  • Bus / Truck: Rs. 130, Rs. 195, Rs. 3,925
  • Multi-Axle Vehicle (MAV): Rs. 275, Rs. 410, Rs. 8,240

The exemption from toll payment for two-wheelers at the Attibele Toll Plaza will continue.


Bengaluru Higher Toll Charges Add to Bengaluru Commuters' Burden

The latest toll revision is expected to have a significant financial impact on thousands of daily commuters, especially IT professionals travelling between Bengaluru's residential areas and the Electronics City technology corridor.


Commercial vehicle operators and businesses dependent on frequent movement across these toll roads are also likely to experience increased operating costs.
