Bengaluru: A woman assistant professor was allegedly stabbed multiple times by her father inside the principal's office of a private college in Bengaluru's Rajanukunte police station limits, police said. The victim, identified as Lakshmi Durga, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. The accused, identified as Nagendra, allegedly fled the scene immediately after the attack, prompting a police search.
According to police, the incident occurred on July 25 at around 3:00 p.m. when the accused, Nagendra, arrived at the private college in Rajanukunte where Lakshmi Durga was working as an assistant professor.
Police said Nagendra informed the security staff that he wished to meet his daughter before proceeding to the principal's office, where she was present at the time.
Argument Escalated Into Alleged Stabbing
Investigators said an argument allegedly broke out between the father and daughter inside the principal's office. During the altercation, Nagendra allegedly used a knife he had brought with him to attack Lakshmi Durga.
Police stated that she sustained multiple stab injuries to the abdomen, chest, and neck before the accused fled the premises.

Victim Undergoing Treatment
Following the incident, college staff and others present rushed the injured assistant professor to a nearby hospital, where she is receiving medical treatment.

Police Register Case and Launch Search
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim's family members, Rajanukunte Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
Authorities have launched a search operation to trace the accused, Nagendra, who remains absconding. Police said further action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
Rajanukunte Police have registered a criminal case and are continuing efforts to apprehend the accused.
