Bengaluru City Police's Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided an alleged rave party at a private service villa in IPS Layout, HSR Layout, arresting three organisers and seizing prohibited hookah products, e-cigarettes, and liquor. A case has also been registered against the villa owner for alleged violations.
Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) Women's Wing of the Bengaluru City Police conducted a raid at a private service villa in IPS Layout, HSR Layout, where an alleged rave party was being held, leading to the arrest of three organisers. During the operation, officials seized prohibited hookah products, e-cigarettes, and multiple liquor bottles. Police have also registered a case against the villa owner for allegedly violating applicable regulations.
According to police, the alleged rave party was taking place at the 'C-9' service villa located in the 6th Sector of IPS Layout, HSR Layout. Acting on credible intelligence, officers from the CCB Women's Wing reached the location and conducted a surprise inspection, during which the gathering was detected.
During the operation, women present at the venue were safely escorted out, and the police initiated the necessary legal procedures.
The CCB seized prohibited hookah products, e-cigarettes, and a quantity of liquor bottles during the raid.
Invitations Allegedly Sent Through Amigos App
Preliminary investigation indicates that young men and women were invited to the event through the Amigos app. According to investigators, an entry fee of Rs1,099 was collected from male attendees, while female attendees were charged Rs499 for admission.
Police further stated that the organisers had rented the service villa, reportedly operating under the name Rave Key Hospitality, for Rs20,000 per day. The alleged use of liquor, prohibited hookah products, and e-cigarettes at the venue is part of the ongoing investigation.
Three Organisers Arrested in Bengaluru
Police arrested three individuals identified as Dikshit, Vedant Pandit, and Shankar for allegedly organising the event. The accused are currently being questioned, and investigators are examining multiple aspects of the case.
Dikshit, Vedant Pandit, and Shankar have been taken into custody by the CCB, and the investigation is continuing.
Case Registered Against Villa Owner in Bengaluru
Police have also registered a case against the owner of the service villa for allegedly allowing the property to be used in violation of applicable rules. Investigators are examining the terms under which the villa was rented and whether all legal requirements were complied with.
Authorities are collecting documentary evidence, digital records, and other materials relevant to the investigation. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing probe.
