Hassan: A Deputy Tahsildar was found dead after allegedly dying by suicide in a lodge located in Hassan city, police said on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Thimmayya (52), who was serving as a Deputy Tahsildar in Saligrama of Mysuru district.
According to preliminary information, Thimmayya checked into a lodge in Hassan and was later found dead in his room. Authorities revealed that a four-page note was recovered from the scene, which is believed to have been written before his death. The contents of the note have not been officially disclosed, and investigators are examining it as part of the inquiry.
Deputy Tahsildar Death in Hassan
Officials said Thimmayya had previously served in Hassan around three years ago before being transferred to Saligrama in Mysuru district. He was known to many officials and residents in the region due to his earlier tenure in the district administration.
The incident came to light after lodge staff noticed unusual circumstances and alerted the authorities. Police immediately rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection.
Suicide Note Recovered During Investigation
