Chikkamagaluru: A tragic incident has been reported from N.R. Pura taluk in Chikkamagaluru district, where a young nurse lost her life after jumping into a river. The incident has left the local community in deep shock and grief.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Ranya Basil, a resident of Muttinakoppa village. She was working as a nurse at Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, where she was known for her dedication to patient care.

Sequence of Events
According to initial reports, Ranya had returned home after completing her shift at the hospital on Sunday evening. However, shortly after reaching home, she left again and later jumped from a bridge near Muduba into the river. Her body was recovered the following day.

Cause Still Unknown
The exact reason behind her decision remains unclear. Authorities are currently investigating whether work-related stress or personal issues may have contributed to the incident.

Police Begin Investigation
Police from N.R. Pura visited the spot, conducted a preliminary inspection, and have registered a case. A detailed investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
