Hubballi: Fresh controversy has erupted in Karnataka’s Hubballi after serious allegations linking the Neha Hiremath murder case to a separate complaint against a gym trainer surfaced. The claims were made by Neha’s father, Niranjan Hiremath, who has raised suspicions about a possible wider conspiracy.
According to reports, a gym trainer identified as Sameer Mullana has been accused by two young women of exploitation and blackmail, with complaints already filed. The allegations suggest that the accused may have targeted women and misused personal relationships.
Father Raises Link to Murder Case
In a video statement, Neha’s father, Niranjan Hiremath, expressed suspicion that the same gym and individuals connected to it may have links to his daughter’s murder. He alleged that the accused in Neha’s killing had connections to the gym, raising questions about possible influence or involvement.
“There could be a connection between those involved and my daughter’s case,” he said, calling for a deeper investigation.
Suspicion Over Prior Interactions
Niranjan Hiremath also claimed that members of the gym trainer’s family had previously approached him frequently, inviting him to events and financial support related to bodybuilding competitions. He stated that he avoided such interactions due to suspicion, fearing a possible trap.
Background of the Neha Hiremath Case
Neha Hiremath and the accused Fayaz were reportedly college classmates in 2020 while pursuing BCA in Hubballi. Their friendship later turned into a relationship in 2022.
However, differences arose between them, and by March 2024, Neha had cut off contact with Fayaz. Police investigations earlier indicated that the person allegedly committed the crime following this fallout.
Call for Thorough Investigation
The latest allegations have intensified demands for a comprehensive probe into all possible links, including individuals connected to the gym and prior associations.
Authorities are yet to officially confirm any connection between the two cases, and investigations are ongoing.
