Chitradurga: A Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) bus carrying 44 passengers overturned on Tuesday morning near Heggere village in Challakere taluk of Chitradurga district, narrowly avoiding a major tragedy.


The government-operated bus was en route from Ballari to Bengaluru when the accident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Challakere police station.


Passengers Sustain Minor Injuries
According to preliminary reports, several passengers sustained minor injuries in the incident. At least five injured individuals have been admitted to the taluk hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Authorities confirmed that the injuries are not life-threatening, and all passengers were rescued safely from the overturned vehicle.
