Thiruvananthapuram: Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday described the recent death of a first-year BDS student at Ancharakandi Private Medical College as painful and unacceptable, saying such incidents should not happen in a state like Kerala.

The Chief Minister reacted through a Facebook post following reports surrounding the death of the student, which has drawn attention across the state.

CM Says Student Should Not Have Been Driven to Death

Pinarayi Vijayan said it was unforgivable if circumstances had pushed a talented student to such an end. He stressed that educational institutions must remain safe spaces for students.
“It is painful and unacceptable. Such incidents should not happen in Kerala,” the Chief Minister said.
He also said the entire state stands with the victim’s family during this difficult time.
