IMD warns of thundershowers and 30–40 kmph winds across Karnataka, Bengaluru to remain cloudy with chances of moderate rain
Bengaluru: The Karnataka weather situation continues to remain active as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 10 districts, warning of thunderstorms, gusty winds, and moderate rainfall across several parts of the state today.
After experiencing consistent rainfall over the past few days, the state is likely to witness continued wet conditions, while parts of the country are expected to remain dry.

Authorities have urged residents in these regions to remain cautious as weather conditions may turn unstable during the day.
Similarly, in the southern interior regions, districts such as Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Mandya, Shivamogga, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru City, and Kolar are likely to witness rainfall with wind speeds reaching 30–40 kmph.
These conditions may lead to temporary disruptions, reduced visibility, and localised waterlogging in low-lying areas.
With the monsoon-like pattern persisting in early summer, Karnataka is witnessing unseasonal rainfall trends, making it crucial for residents to stay prepared.
