28-Year-Old Housewife Ends Life After Domestic Dispute in Mahadevapura, Police Book Husband Under Abetment Charges
Bengaluru: In a disturbing incident reported under the Mahadevapura police limits, a 28-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide following prolonged domestic distress linked to her husband’s online betting habits and alcohol addiction. Police have arrested the husband on charges of abetment to suicide.
The deceased, identified as Kanaga, was living in a rented house in A. Narayanapura with her husband and their two-year-old son.
Investigations reveal that Shankar had allegedly incurred heavy debts due to online betting and alcohol consumption, leading to repeated quarrels at home. The situation reportedly worsened over financial disagreements, including disputes over earnings from their business.
Police sources indicated that the act followed a period of ongoing domestic tension and emotional distress.
Authorities are continuing the investigation to examine the sequence of events, including financial transactions, communication records, and witness statements.
