Bengaluru: In a devastating early morning accident, a speeding Eicher lorry triggered a series of crashes near the Satellite Bus Stand signal on Mysuru Road in Bengaluru, resulting in the instant death of the driver. The shocking incident has once again raised concerns over reckless driving and road safety in the city.
According to initial reports, the lorry driver, identified as Vijay, was driving from K.R. Market towards Mysuru Road at high speed, losing control of the vehicle. In a terrifying sequence, the lorry reportedly caused multiple accidents on the flyover, hitting vehicles at least three times before reaching the signal point.
Final Impact Turns Fatal
The out-of-control vehicle ultimately rammed into the rear of another lorry that was stationary at the traffic signal. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the Eicher lorry was completely crushed, trapping the driver inside. Vijay succumbed to injuries on the spot.
“The impact was extremely severe, and the driver died instantly due to the collision,” officials at the scene confirmed.

Following the crash, traffic movement on Mysuru Road came to a near standstill due to the debris and damaged vehicles blocking the road. Police teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information and initiated clearance operations to restore traffic flow.

One of the lorries involved in the accident was reportedly carrying vegetables, adding to the chaos as goods were scattered across the road. Authorities have shifted the body to a nearby hospital and are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident, including possible mechanical failure or driver negligence.
