A tragic case from Agra has sparked outrage after a woman died by suicide, alleging in a video that a police constable abandoned her after a four-year live-in relationship and promise of marriage

Agra: A shocking incident in Agra has triggered widespread outrage after a woman allegedly died by suicide following the breakdown of a four-year live-in relationship with a police constable who had reportedly promised to marry her.

According to the woman’s statements in a video recorded before her death, she had been in a long-term relationship with J.V. Gautam, who was posted at the Tajganj Police Station.

In the video, the woman alleged that the constable had promised to marry her and that she had lived with him for nearly four years as his partner. However, she claimed that he later refused to marry her and allegedly subjected her to physical and mental harassment during their relationship.

Justice Plea in Video Before Death

The woman stated that she had approached the police station to file a complaint against the constable, but officials allegedly told her that there was little they could do in the matter.

She further claimed that the constable told her his family would not allow the marriage and that he was planning to marry another woman.

“I tried many times to seek justice but did not get any help,” the woman said in the video, which later circulated widely on social media.

In her final appeal, the woman also addressed Yogi Adityanath and Narendra Modi, saying she hoped justice would be delivered even if she did not receive it while alive.

Police Action After Video Goes Viral

Following the circulation of the video and public attention to the case, the Uttar Pradesh Police initiated action against the accused constable.

Senior officials ordered the suspension of J.V. Gautam, and a case was registered after a formal complaint was filed by the woman’s father.

Police sources confirmed that an investigation has been launched to examine the allegations and circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

Background of the Case

Authorities said the woman was originally from Kasganj district. She had previously been married but later divorced.

She reportedly met the constable while working in a private job in Agra, and their relationship gradually developed into a live-in arrangement.

Police officials said further details would emerge as the investigation progresses.
