25-year-old burnt alive after collision near toll gate; Instagram video hinting at heartbreak raises doubts over accident or deliberate act
Vijayapura: In a tragic and mysterious incident, a 25-year-old youth was burnt alive after his bike collided with a bus and caught fire near a toll gate in Vijayapura district, with investigators now probing whether it was an accident or a deliberate act.
The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Nagaral, a resident of Mulasavalagi in Devarahippargi taluk.
Fiery Collision on National Highway
The incident occurred near Kannolli village toll gate in Sindagi taluk, where a bike-bus collision led to a massive fire, engulfing the rider.
While the bus driver, conductor, and passengers escaped safely after quickly evacuating, the bike rider was trapped in the blaze and could not be saved. The bus too was partially damaged in the fire.
Fire and emergency personnel rushed to the scene and brought the flames under control. The accident caused a temporary traffic jam on National Highway 52.
Identity Confirmed After Probe
Initially, the identity of the victim was unclear. However, after investigation, police confirmed the deceased as Abhishek Nagaral. The case falls under the jurisdiction of Sindagi Police Station.
Suicide Angle Raises Serious Questions
Though the incident appeared to be an accident at first glance, a viral Instagram video posted by the deceased before the incident has raised suspicions.
In the video, Abhishek allegedly blamed certain individuals for separating him from a woman named Sanjana, expressing emotional distress and indicating he might take an extreme step.
“He mentioned that he would not continue living and hinted at ending his life later in the day,” sources said.
This has led police to suspect that the collision may have been intentional, though no conclusion has been reached yet.
Investigation Underway From All Angles
Police are currently investigating the case from both accident and suicide perspectives, examining digital evidence, witness accounts, and technical reports.
Authorities have stated that the exact cause will be determined only after a detailed probe, including analysis of the viral video and forensic findings.
