Sirens in Western Galilee After Suspected Hezbollah Attack
Meanwhile, sirens were also reported in Western Galilee, including the coastal city of Nahariya, amid what authorities described as a suspected attack linked to Hezbollah.
The alerts warned residents of possible drone infiltration and rocket fire, prompting people in several communities to move to shelters.
Security officials are currently assessing the situation and monitoring further aerial threats.
Trump Calls for Naval Deployment in Strait of Hormuz
Amid rising tensions, Donald Trump said that multiple countries may deploy warships to safeguard shipping routes in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement posted on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said he hopes countries including China, France, Japan, South Korea, and United Kingdom would send naval ships to the region.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes, and any disruption could significantly impact global energy supplies and shipping operations.
Global Concerns Grow
The latest developments highlight the rapid escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, raising concerns about wider regional conflict and potential impacts on international trade, energy markets, and global security.
Authorities in Israel remain on high alert, with air defence systems active and emergency services responding to missile alerts across several regions.
