Students eligible for PhD, rank-holder UG/PG and diploma certificates are asked to apply through the Karnataka University website ahead of the April 15 convocation ceremony
Dharwad: Karnataka University Dharwad (KUD) has announced that its 75th Annual Convocation for the year 2024 will be held on April 15, 2026, inviting eligible students to apply for receiving their degree and diploma certificates.
According to an official statement issued by the university, the convocation ceremony will be conducted at Gandhi Bhavan at 11:00 am.
The ceremony will be presided over by Thawarchand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka and Chancellor of Karnataka University, who will chair the convocation proceedings.
Applications Invited from Eligible Students
The university has invited applications from Ph.D. scholars, rank-holding undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as diploma and postgraduate diploma holders who are eligible to receive their certificates during the convocation ceremony.
Students seeking to obtain their degree, diploma or postgraduate diploma certificates are required to submit their applications after reviewing the complete guidelines available on the university’s official website.

Registrar of Evaluation Issues Statement
In an official communication, Dr. Nijalingappa Mattihal, Registrar of Evaluation in the Examinations Department, stated that eligible students should complete the application process in advance to ensure smooth issuance of certificates during the convocation.
The university has also appealed to students from other states who studied at Karnataka University to take note of the announcement and apply accordingly.
Officials added that the annual convocation is an important academic event that formally recognises the achievements of students across various disciplines and programmes offered by the university.
