CENTCOM Rejects Iran’s UN Claims as False, Confirms B-2 Stealth Strikes on Ballistic Missile Facilities; Trump Says 9 Iranian Naval Ships DestroyedWashington: The escalating conflict between the United States and Iran has intensified dramatically, with the United States Central Command, commonly known as CENTCOM, confirming that three American service members were killed and several others critically injured amid ongoing hostilities.
In a strongly worded statement on Sunday, CENTCOM categorically rejected Iran’s claims made at the United Nations that its retaliatory actions targeted only US military bases and strategic assets. The US military command described those assertions as “false,” alleging instead that Iran struck multiple civilian sites across the region.
CENTCOM Accuses Iran of Targeting 14 Civilian Locations
According to CENTCOM, Iranian strikes hit at least 14 civilian locations in neighbouring countries, including key international airports, luxury hotels, ports, oil facilities, and residential neighbourhoods.
The list released by CENTCOM includes:
- • Dubai International Airport
- • Kuwait International Airport
- • Zayed International Airport, Dubai
- • Erbil International Airport, Iraq
- • Fairmont Palm Hotel, Dubai
- • Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai
- • Crowne Plaza Hotel, Bahrain
- • Port of Dubai
- • Haifa Oil Refinery
- • Residential areas in Beit Shemesh, Israel
- • Residential areas in Tel Aviv, Israel
- • Era Views Towers residential complex, Bahrain
- • Residential areas in Qatar
The command alleged that the attacks endangered civilian lives and critical infrastructure across the Gulf and Israel, contradicting Iran’s diplomatic narrative at the UN.
Strikes Reported on Iran’s National Broadcast Headquarters
Meanwhile, Iranian state media confirmed that parts of the national radio and television headquarters in Tehran were struck during air raids on Sunday. The reported attack marks a symbolic blow to Iran’s state-controlled communication apparatus amid intensifying military exchanges.
Trump Claims Destruction of Iranian Naval Assets
US President Donald Trump made explosive claims on his social media platform, asserting that American forces had destroyed nine Iranian naval ships.
“I have just been informed that we have destroyed and sunk 9 Iranian Naval Ships, some of them relatively large and important,” Trump wrote.“We are going after the rest — They will soon be floating at the bottom of the sea, also! In a different attack, we largely destroyed their Naval Headquarters.”
The president’s remarks signal a widening scope of military engagement, extending beyond air and missile exchanges to naval confrontations in strategic waters.
B-2 Stealth Bombers Strike Ballistic Missile Facilities
In a separate operational update, CENTCOM confirmed that US Air Force B-2 stealth bombers deployed 2,000-pound precision-guided bombs against Iran’s hardened ballistic missile infrastructure on Saturday night.
Accompanying a video clip of a B-2 bomber inside a hangar, CENTCOM posted on X:
“No nation should ever doubt America’s resolve.”
The B-2 Spirit bomber is widely regarded as one of the most advanced stealth aircraft in the world, capable of penetrating heavily fortified targets.
Saudi Arabia Signals Retaliatory Readiness
Amid the mounting regional crisis, Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly authorized a military response to any further Iranian aggression, according to a report by CNN.
The report states that the Saudi Crown Prince secured full backing from President Trump and described recent Iranian strikes as “cowardly,” arguing that Tehran avoided Saudi airspace while conducting its operations.
The geopolitical stakes continue to rise as Washington, Tehran, and regional powers brace for potential escalation. With casualties mounting, strategic infrastructure under attack, and powerful military assets deployed, the conflict threatens to destabilize the wider Middle East.
