Shocking double death in Ghaziabad apartment raises questions as police discover elderly mother’s body days after son’s fall
Ghaziabad: In a deeply disturbing incident, a 40-year-old man fell from the 13th floor of an apartment in Ghaziabad, while police later discovered the body of his elderly mother inside their flat, triggering a complex investigation into the circumstances surrounding both deaths.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the residential complex, as authorities attempt to piece together the sequence of events leading to the tragic outcome.
According to police officials, a distress call was received reporting that a man had fallen from the 13th floor of a residential building in the Mahagunpuram Society. The man, identified as Rajveer (40), son of Mahendra Singh, was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital in critical condition.
However, doctors declared him dead on arrival, confirming the severity of the fall.
Mother’s Body Found Inside Flat
Following the incident, police entered the flat where Rajveer lived and made a shocking discovery. The body of his 70-year-old mother, Satnam Kaur, was found lying on a bed inside the apartment.
Officials stated that the body appeared to be around two days old, with no visible external injuries, adding a layer of mystery to the case.
Living Situation and Family Background
Preliminary investigation revealed that Rajveer had been living separately from his wife, who resides in Gaur City-2 with their child. While he reportedly visited them occasionally, he had not been in contact for the past two days.
Upon receiving information about the incident, his wife rushed to the hospital.
Police also noted that Rajveer previously worked as an astrologer but had been unemployed after failing to find success in the field.
Sequence of Events Raises Serious Questions
The dual deaths have raised critical questions for investigators. Authorities are now trying to determine whether the mother’s death occurred before the incident involving Rajveer and under what circumstances both deaths took place.
“Both bodies have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination. Further legal action is underway,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police Suryabali Maurya of Kavi Nagar.
