Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation introduces three new routes with over 90 daily trips connecting key localities, including Singasandra, Carmelaram and Agara
Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has announced the introduction of new bus routes from Hosa Road Metro Station starting March 9, 2026, aiming to enhance connectivity and provide better commuting options for residents in several parts of the city.
BMTC officials stated that the move is part of the corporation’s ongoing efforts to provide efficient, reliable, comfortable and affordable transport facilities to daily commuters in Bengaluru.
New BMTC Routes Introduced from Hosa Road Metro Station
For the benefit of passengers travelling in the southern and southeastern parts of the city, BMTC will introduce three new routes, operating multiple trips throughout the day.
Route MF 22-E: Hosa Road Metro Station to Singasandra (Chakra Route)
Under this route, buses will operate from Hosa Road Metro Station and pass through Central Jail, Haraluru, Agara, Parangipalya, Somasundarapalya and Kudlu Gate before reaching Singasandra.
The service will run 25 trips daily, with departure timings including 06:00, 07:00, 08:15, 08:45, 09:15, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:40, 13:10, 14:30, 15:00, 15:30, 16:00, 16:20, 16:50, 17:10, 17:30, 18:00, 19:10, 20:20 and 21:40.
Route MF 22-EA: Reverse Chakra Route from Hosa Road Metro Station
BMTC will also operate Route MF 22-EA, which connects the same locations but in the reverse direction, starting from Hosa Road Metro Station and travelling via Singasandra, Kudlu Gate, Somasundarapalya, Parangipalya, Agara, Haraluru and Central Jail.
This route will also operate 25 trips daily, with departures scheduled at 06:15, 07:15, 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 09:45, 10:15, 10:45, 11:15, 11:45, 12:15, 12:55, 13:25, 14:05, 14:35, 15:10, 15:30, 15:55, 16:25, 16:45, 17:10, 17:30, 18:45, 19:55 and 21:20.
Route MF 22-K: Hosa Road Metro Station to Carmelaram
Another new route, MF 22-K, will connect Hosa Road Metro Station with Carmelaram Bus Stop, passing through Doddamara, Chikkanayakanahalli and Doddakannalli.
The service will run 44 trips daily, with departure timings including 06:00, 06:35, 07:10, 07:55, 08:35, 09:15, 09:55, 10:45, 11:20, 11:55, 12:30, 13:55, 14:30, 15:05, 15:40, 16:25, 17:00, 17:35, 18:15, 18:55, 19:35, 20:10 and 21:00.
Improving Metro Connectivity in Bengaluru
Transport officials said the introduction of these routes will significantly improve last-mile connectivity for metro passengers using the Hosa Road Metro Station corridor, particularly residents of nearby localities who rely on BMTC buses for daily travel.
BMTC has urged passengers to make use of the newly introduced routes starting March 9, 2026, as part of the corporation’s continued effort to expand and strengthen Bengaluru’s public transport network.
