Bengaluru: In a disturbing incident, a Rapido bike taxi driver has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a woman passenger during a ride from BTM Layout to Indiranagar in Bengaluru.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Khaja, was taken into custody by Indiranagar Police following a complaint filed by the victim.

Harassment During Ride Alleged
According to the complaint, the woman had booked a bike taxi through Rapido to travel from BTM Layout to Indiranagar.

During the journey, the driver allegedly touched her inappropriately multiple times and behaved obscenely, causing distress and discomfort.
“The accused misbehaved throughout the ride, prompting the victim to approach police immediately,” officials said.
Swift Police Action
Acting promptly on the complaint, Indiranagar police launched an operation and arrested the accused driver.
Authorities are currently investigating the case and collecting further evidence to strengthen the charges.
