Chittoor youth claims Rs3.15 crore fraud linked to promised contract; survives attempt, investigation underway as note surfaces online
Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh: In a serious and sensitive case, a young man from Andhra Pradesh has been hospitalised after an attempt on his life, alleging financial fraud involving a film personality. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the matter.
The youth, identified as Lokesh from Sheshapuram near Puthalapattu in Chittoor district, is currently undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Bangarupalem. Doctors have stated that he is out of immediate danger and responding to treatment.
Allegations of Financial Fraud
In his complaint, Lokesh has alleged that actor Manyam Murali Krishna promised to secure a railway contract and, based on that assurance, collected approximately Rs3.15 crore through him from relatives and friends.
He claims that when he sought the return of the money, he faced continued harassment and non-cooperation, leading to severe distress.
Note Surfaces Online
A note attributed to Lokesh has circulated on social media, in which he reportedly expressed distress over financial burden and named the actor as responsible for his situation. Police have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the document and are verifying its contents.

Authorities have registered a case and initiated a detailed investigation into the alleged fraud and related claims. Officials indicated that the actor may be issued a notice for questioning as part of the inquiry.
