Renukaswamy Murder Case Evidence Act Application
Darshan’s lawyer had filed an application under Sections 137 and 138 of the Evidence Act. The next day, Pradosh re-recorded his statement, stating information that he had forgotten during the plea hearing.
Darshan’s lawyer objected to the re-recording of the statement. The defence lawyers argued that someone was teaching Pradosh and that his statements were being recorded repeatedly. They contended that the court should not record such statements.
A petition was subsequently filed alleging a violation of the Evidence Act. The 59th Sessions Court is scheduled to pronounce its order in this regard today.
