Netizens question Salman Khan’s Weekend Ka Vaar approach, saying repeated moral lectures are overshadowing the housemates’ ongoing conflicts and issues
Bigg Boss 20 viewers have criticised Salman Khan’s Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, with some comparing his repeated life lessons to TED Talks and asking for greater focus on house issues.
Mumbai: Salman Khan’s Weekend Ka Vaar episodes on Bigg Boss 20 have come under criticism from some netizens, who feel that repeated discussions on morality and life lessons are taking attention away from the issues inside the Bigg Boss house.
A post shared by @BiggBoss_Tak on X described the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes as increasingly resembling a “TED Talk”, arguing that the focus should remain on the conflicts and issues involving the contestants.
The post suggested that if discussions about morality and life lessons are to continue, an additional segment could be created on JioHotstar, while Weekend Ka Vaar could return its focus to the housemates and their ongoing disputes.
The criticism also drew reactions from viewers who questioned whether certain issues involving contestants were being addressed sufficiently during the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes.
One user, @SimaSim01460859, questioned why Salman Khan did not address an alleged task involving Love and Qazi in which Love reportedly asked contestants to touch the feet of girls. The user also questioned whether Salman’s approach to addressing contestants had changed compared with earlier seasons.
Another section of viewers accused the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes of appearing to favour Mahhi Vij. One comment questioned why Salman Khan was repeatedly defending her and argued that her actions were not being examined with the same scrutiny.
Some viewers also criticised what they described as an overly controlled environment in the Bigg Boss house, arguing that restrictions on fights and other confrontations were reducing the intensity of the show.
Meanwhile, another group of viewers said Weekend Ka Vaar should return its attention to the central drama inside the house. According to these reactions, lengthy moral discussions each week can push the contestants’ actual conflicts and storylines into the background.
The reactions reflect a section of the online audience’s dissatisfaction with the current presentation of Weekend Ka Vaar. However, the comments represent individual viewer opinions and do not establish that Salman Khan or the show has intentionally changed its format or treatment of contestants.
