Munikrishna, a 35-year-old auto driver from Neriga village in Anekal taluk, died by suicide. His family has alleged that he faced harassment connected to his wife Nayana’s alleged relationship with a relative, Kumar. A complaint has reportedly been filed at Sarjapur Police Station.

Bengaluru: A 35-year-old auto driver, identified as Munikrishna, died by suicide at his home in Neriga village in Anekal taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru. His family has alleged that ongoing personal disputes and harassment contributed to his death and has sought action against two people named in their complaint.

Munikrishna had married Nayana around 10 years ago, and the couple has a six-year-old son. According to the supplied report, Nayana was pregnant with their second child at the time of the incident.

Bengaluru Auto Driver’s Family Alleges Harassment

According to the family’s account, Kumar, a relative of Munikrishna who worked as a cab driver, regularly transported Nayana to and from work. The family alleges that a relationship developed between the two over the past two years.

The matter reportedly came to light around three months before Munikrishna’s death, when Kumar allegedly sent him WhatsApp messages containing photographs, videos and chats involving Kumar and Nayana. The disclosure reportedly led to a confrontation between the couple, after which Nayana returned to her hometown.

The family further alleges that Kumar subsequently verbally harassed Munikrishna and questioned the paternity of Nayana’s unborn child. These claims have not been independently verified.

Munikrishna Shared His Distress With His Brother

According to the report, Munikrishna spoke to his brother about the situation a day before his death. He was later found dead at his home.

His family initially believed that the death was connected to a domestic dispute. After the last rites, his brother reportedly shared what Munikrishna had told him, prompting the family to raise allegations of harassment linked to the alleged relationship.

Sarjapur Police Complaint Seeks Action

A complaint has reportedly been filed at Sarjapur Police Station naming Nayana and Kumar and alleging that harassment connected to their relationship contributed to Munikrishna’s death.

The family has demanded action against the two individuals. However, the supplied report does not establish whether police have confirmed the allegations, what offences have formally been recorded or whether any arrests have been made.

The circumstances surrounding Munikrishna’s death and the allegations raised by his family require investigation. The allegations should not be treated as established findings unless confirmed by investigators or a court.
