Investigation finds two mobile phones and SIM cards linked to Prajwal Revanna inside Parappana Agrahara Jail

Former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna, in custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail, allegedly used two mobile phones. Police have arrested a Banaswadi resident who reportedly supplied the devices through another inmate.

Bengaluru: New information has emerged in the case involving former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna and the alleged use of mobile phones while he is in custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail. The investigation has found that Prajwal was in contact with several people, including his parents, while allegedly using two mobile phones inside the jail.

According to the investigation, Prajwal used two devices, including one keypad phone and one Android smartphone. Police have traced the supply of the mobile phones to a Banaswadi resident named Naveen, who allegedly provided the devices through Pratap Rai, an inmate who was lodged in the same barrack as Prajwal.

Naveen has already been arrested by the police in connection with the case.

The investigation is being intensified under the leadership of DIG Jinendra Gangavi. Authorities are also examining how the mobile phones were brought into the high-security barracks and whether jail authorities or staff could face action in connection with the incident.

Prajwal Revanna Mobile Phone Use Under Investigation

The police investigation has revealed that Prajwal Revanna was allegedly using two mobile phones while in custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail.

One of the devices was a keypad phone, while the other was an Android phone. Investigators are examining the use of both devices and the contacts made through them.

The investigation has also found that Prajwal was in contact with several people, including his parents, while allegedly using the phones inside the jail.

The discovery has raised questions about how the devices reached the high-security barracks and how they were used despite the restrictions applicable to inmates.

Mobile Phones Allegedly Supplied Through Another Inmate

During the investigation, police identified Naveen, a resident of Banaswadi, as the person who allegedly supplied the mobile phones to Prajwal.

According to the investigation, Naveen did not directly provide the devices to Prajwal. The phones were allegedly supplied through Pratap Rai, who was lodged in the same barrack as Prajwal.

Police have found that Naveen and Pratap Rai had become acquainted when Naveen was previously sent to jail in connection with a criminal case.

Naveen has already been arrested by the police as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the supply of the mobile phones.

The investigation is focused on establishing the chain through which the devices entered the jail and reached Prajwal.

SIM Cards Used by Prajwal Revanna Examined

According to the investigation, the SIM cards used by Prajwal were purchased in the names of other people rather than in his own name. One of the SIM cards has also been found to be active in Andhra Pradesh.

The location and ownership details connected to the SIM cards are now part of the investigation as police seek to establish how the numbers were obtained and used.

The discovery of a SIM card active in Andhra Pradesh has added another aspect to the ongoing inquiry into the mobile phone use inside Parappana Agrahara Jail.

Parappana Agrahara Jail Staff Role Under Scrutiny

The investigation is being conducted under the leadership of DIG Jinendra Gangavi, with authorities examining how mobile phones were supplied to an inmate in the high-security section of the jail.

The inquiry is also expected to examine the role of jail authorities and staff in connection with the movement and use of the devices.

Investigators are looking into how the mobile phones were brought into the high-security barracks and how they remained accessible to Prajwal while he was in custody.

The circumstances surrounding the entry of the devices into the jail are expected to form a key part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigation Continues Into Jail Mobile Phone Supply

Police have already arrested Naveen and are continuing their investigation into the alleged supply of the mobile phones to Prajwal Revanna.

Investigators are examining the connection between Naveen and Pratap Rai, the alleged route through which the devices reached Prajwal, the SIM cards used with the phones and the contacts made from the devices.

Authorities are also examining whether any jail personnel or officials could face difficulties or action based on the findings of the investigation.

The inquiry remains focused on determining how mobile phones reached Prajwal inside Parappana Agrahara Jail and how the devices were used in the high-security barracks.
