A 38-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter went missing in the Tungabhadra River near Hampi in Vijayanagara district. The two had travelled from Sulekeri village in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district with relatives. They reportedly slipped into the river while going for a bath at a bathing area, prompting a search operation by Hampi Tourist Police.
Ballari: A 38-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter have gone missing in the Tungabhadra River near Hampi in Vijayanagara district while visiting the area with relatives, police said.
The missing persons have been identified as Shaheen, 38, and her daughter Yasmeen, 13. The two had travelled from Sulekeri village in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district to Hampi along with relatives for a trip.
The mother and daughter reportedly slipped and fell into the Tungabhadra River while they were at a bathing area. They subsequently went missing in the river, following which family members and others at the location informed the authorities.
Hampi Tourist Police have since initiated a search operation to locate Shaheen and Yasmeen.

According to the available information, the family had prepared food before heading towards a bathing area along the Tungabhadra River near Hampi.
Shaheen and Yasmeen reportedly slipped and fell into the river while they were at the bathing area. They subsequently went missing in the water.
Family members and others at the location informed the authorities about the incident.
Hampi Tourist Police have continued the search for the missing mother and daughter in the Tungabhadra River.

Following the incident, personnel from Hampi Tourist Police Station began a search operation to locate the two missing persons.
