Applicants who participated in the first round of counselling can now check their allotment status through the official UPTAC counselling portal.
The seat allotment has been prepared based on JEE Main 2026 ranks, candidates' preferred choices, seat availability, and the reservation policy applicable under the counselling process. Candidates who have secured a seat must complete the prescribed admission formalities within the notified deadline to retain their allotment.

UPTAC Counselling 2026 Seat Acceptance Process
Candidates who receive a seat in the first counselling round must complete the online seat acceptance process on or before July 20, 2026. The process includes payment of the prescribed seat acceptance fee followed by selecting one of the available admission options.
The available options are:
- Freeze: Candidates confirm the allotted seat and opt out of further counselling rounds.
- Float: Candidates retain the allotted seat while remaining eligible for seat upgradation in subsequent counselling rounds if a higher-preference choice becomes available.
Failure to complete the mandatory formalities within the stipulated deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate may not be allowed to continue in the counselling process.

- SC/ST Candidates: ₹12,000

UPTAC Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying through UPTAC must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:
- Pass Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the required subjects.
- Both Uttar Pradesh domicile and non-domicile candidates are eligible to participate. However, 85% of seats in government institutions are reserved for Uttar Pradesh domicile candidates.
- There is no upper age limit for participating in the counselling process.
