Police in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, have uncovered an alleged murder conspiracy in which a man was reportedly killed using a venomous snake. Investigators claim the victim's wife, her alleged lover, and two others planned the crime over several months to make it appear as a natural snakebite death. Four accused have been arrested, and the investigation is continuing.

Meerut: Police in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, have uncovered what they describe as a planned murder in which a man was allegedly killed using a venomous snake to make the death appear as a natural snakebite. Four people, including the victim's wife, have been arrested in connection with the case.

The deceased has been identified as Atul Pawar, whose death was initially attributed to a snakebite. However, a detailed police investigation allegedly uncovered a four-month-long conspiracy behind the incident.

Police Allege Affair Led to Murder Conspiracy
According to investigators, Atul Pawar's wife, Damini, was allegedly in a relationship with Tushar alias Nikki, who reportedly worked as the driver of Atul's school van.

Police allege that the two conspired to eliminate Atul because he had become an obstacle to their relationship and that financial motives, including access to his property, were also being investigated.

Police allege the conspiracy was planned over several months and executed to make the death appear accidental.

Three Alleged Attempts Before Fatal Incident
During the investigation, police claimed that the accused had allegedly attempted to kill Atul twice over the past four months but were unsuccessful.

Investigators allege that during the third attempt, a venomous snake was procured and allegedly used while Atul was asleep. He later died due to the effects of the snakebite, according to the police investigation.

Authorities said the case initially appeared to be a natural death until certain circumstances raised suspicion.

Family's Suspicion Triggered Investigation
Police said the victim's family questioned the circumstances surrounding the death, prompting a detailed investigation.

Based on evidence collected during the probe, investigators allegedly uncovered the conspiracy and arrested four accused, including Damini.

The investigation was initiated after family members expressed suspicion over the circumstances of the victim's death, police said.

Police Assure Strict Legal Action
Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey said the case was solved through timely investigation and evidence collection.

He stated that all those allegedly involved in the crime have been arrested and that the police will pursue strict legal action in accordance with the law.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the case proceeds through the legal process.
