Police investigate alleged child abuse and mob assault after a man dies following an attack in Hyderabad's Kulsumpura area
A man died after he was allegedly assaulted by local residents in Hyderabad's Kulsumpura area following accusations of inappropriate behaviour with a nine-year-old girl. Police have registered a case and are investigating both the allegations made by the child's family and the assault that resulted in the man's death.
Hyderabad: A man died while undergoing treatment after he was allegedly assaulted by local residents over accusations of inappropriate behaviour with a nine-year-old girl in Hyderabad's Kulsumpura police station limits. The incident occurred in the Indiramma Double Bedroom Colony and has prompted a police investigation into both the allegations involving the child and the mob assault.
According to police, the accused, identified as Hajiz Abdul, sustained serious injuries during the assault and was shifted to Osmania General Hospital, where he later died while receiving treatment.
Hyderabad Child Abuse Allegations Under Investigation
According to preliminary information, the incident came to light after the family of a nine-year-old girl accused the man of inappropriate conduct.

The girl's family alleged that CCTV cameras installed in the residential colony captured visuals showing the accused engaging in inappropriate physical contact with the child. The footage was reportedly viewed by the girl's family and several local residents.
Police have not yet confirmed the authenticity or findings of the CCTV footage and are examining it as part of the ongoing investigation.
"Police are verifying the allegations, CCTV footage and other evidence before reaching any conclusion," officials said.
Mob Assault Led to Accused's Death in Hyderabad
Following the allegations, several local residents and members of the girl's family allegedly confronted and assaulted the accused.
The injured man was rushed to Osmania General Hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
According to local residents, Hajiz Abdul earned his livelihood by selling tea near Niloufer Hospital. The victim's family also resides in the same Indiramma Double Bedroom Colony.
Police Probe Both Cases in Hyderabad
Kulsumpura Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Investigators are collecting CCTV footage, recording statements from eyewitnesses and gathering forensic evidence to establish the sequence of events.
Police stated that the investigation will cover both the allegations of inappropriate conduct involving the child and the assault that resulted in the accused's death.
"The investigation is being carried out from all angles, including the allegations against the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the assault," police officials said.
Authorities have not announced any arrests in connection with the mob assault so far. Further legal action will depend on the outcome of the investigation and the evidence collected.
