A disturbing case has emerged from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, where a man has alleged that he was kidnapped and subjected to severe torture following a minor road accident. Police have registered a case based on the victim's complaint and launched a search for the accused.
Dehradun: A disturbing case of alleged kidnapping and brutal assault has surfaced from Dehradun, where a minor road accident reportedly escalated into an overnight ordeal of violence. The victim has accused a group of men of abducting him, holding him captive, and subjecting him to severe physical torture before he managed to escape in the early hours of the morning.
Police have registered a case based on the victim's complaint and initiated a search operation to trace the accused. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Patel Nagar police station.
Dehradun Kidnapping Case Allegedly Triggered by Minor Road Accident
According to the police complaint, Azad Singh Rawat, a resident of Canal Road in Jakhan, was returning home after work when the incident occurred near Lalpul. Rawat, who said he works in the network industry, alleged that a speeding scooter collided with him, leaving both him and the scooter riders injured.

The scooter was reportedly being ridden by two individuals identified in the complaint as Ankit and Sahit. Following the collision, an argument allegedly broke out between the parties.
The victim claimed that the verbal altercation quickly turned violent, with one of the accused allegedly assaulting and biting him during the confrontation.
"The victim has alleged that what began as a road accident escalated into abduction and severe physical torture," according to the police complaint.
Victim Alleges Overnight Captivity and Brutal Torture
Rawat alleged that after the altercation, the accused forcibly took him to a shop located in the Niranjanpur Fruit Market, where he was allegedly held against his will throughout the night.
In his complaint, the victim has made serious allegations that he was subjected to repeated physical assault during captivity. He claimed the accused beat him, burned him with a heated iron rod, administered electric shocks, and inflicted injuries using a screwdriver.

Victim Escaped After Accused Were Distracted
According to Rawat's statement, he managed to escape at around 3 a.m. when the attention of the accused was diverted.
After fleeing the location on foot, he contacted his family members, who rushed him to Doon Hospital for treatment. He remains under medical care while doctors assess the extent of his injuries.
"The complainant stated that he escaped when the accused became distracted and later informed his family, who admitted him to hospital for treatment."
Police Register FIR and Launch Search for Accused
Officials at Patel Nagar Police Station confirmed that an FIR has been registered based on the victim's complaint.
Police said teams have been deployed to locate the accused, and further investigation is underway. Authorities are also collecting medical evidence and other material to establish the sequence of events.
No arrests had been officially announced at the time of publication. Police have urged anyone with information related to the incident to cooperate with investigators.
