Veteran filmmaker Sunil Kumar Desai has shared an emotional behind-the-scenes incident from the shooting of Nammoor Mandara Hoove, praising Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar for his humility and courage. Recalling a bee attack during the filming of the song Kele Kogile near Satoddi Falls, Desai said Shivarajkumar chose to save two children instead of fleeing to safety, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.

Speaking about his experience working with Shivarajkumar, Desai said the senior actor has never allowed stardom to change his personality and continues to remain grounded despite being one of Kannada cinema's biggest stars.
"Even though Shivanna is such a big actor, he is never egoistic or arrogant. He has a very clean heart," Sunil Kumar Desai said.

Desai recalled that the incident occurred while filming the popular song "Kele Kogile" near the scenic Satoddi Falls in Karnataka.
According to the director, a large wild beehive was located close to the shooting spot. During filming, someone allegedly threw a stone at the hive, triggering a massive bee attack on the entire film crew.
The unexpected incident caused panic, with cast and crew members running in different directions to escape the swarm.

Desai explained that bee stings can be extremely dangerous, especially when a person is attacked multiple times.
He said everyone present rushed to save themselves as the bees aggressively chased the crew.
However, while fleeing, Desai noticed something that left a lasting impact on him.
"I turned around and saw Shivanna running with two children, one in each arm. While everyone was trying to save themselves, he risked his own life to protect the children," Desai recalled.
The filmmaker said that moment completely changed the way he viewed the actor.

Desai said the incident perfectly reflected Shivarajkumar's compassionate nature and genuine concern for others.
According to him, despite the danger, the actor instinctively prioritised the safety of the children over his own.
The director added that such moments reveal a person's true character far more than their on-screen image.
"My respect for Shivanna increased tremendously that day. He is one of the most warm-hearted actors I have ever worked with," Desai said.
