Writ petition filed in Karnataka High Court alleges organised plot, names several individuals and references actor Prakash Raj
The Dharmasthala mass burial case has taken a fresh turn after a writ petition filed before the Karnataka High Court made several serious allegations of a conspiracy linked to the case. The petition, submitted by Burude Chinnaiah, claims the existence of a coordinated network involving multiple individuals and alleges large-scale financial transactions. The allegations are currently part of court proceedings and remain subject to judicial scrutiny.
The petition, filed by Burude Chinnaiah, contains a series of allegations regarding the individuals allegedly involved in the purported conspiracy and claims that significant financial resources were mobilised as part of the plan. The High Court has taken note of the petition and adjourned the further hearing in the matter to June 29.
Dharmasthala Mass Burial Case Takes New Legal Turn
According to the writ petition, Chinnaiah alleges that a group conspired to influence statements in the case. The petition claims that despite naming the alleged masterminds, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has not taken action against those identified.
The petitioner has therefore sought intervention from the Karnataka High Court, alleging inaction by the investigating authorities.
“The real accused have been named, but no action has been taken by the investigating agency,” the petition states.
Actor Prakash Raj Referenced in Petition
One of the notable claims in the petition involves actor Prakash Raj. According to Chinnaiah's submission before the court, he allegedly received a phone call through Girish Mattannavar during which actor Prakash Raj purportedly spoke to him. The petition claims that instructions were allegedly conveyed regarding statements to be made before authorities.
It is important to note that these assertions form part of the petitioner's allegations before the court and have not been independently verified in judicial proceedings at this stage.
Rs. 200 Crore Conspiracy Allegation Raised
The petition further alleges that a conspiracy involving a budget of ₹200 crore was planned and executed through inter-state financial transactions.
Chinnaiah has claimed that substantial funds were allegedly mobilised as part of the operation and that financial inducements were offered to participants.
“The conspiracy involved large-scale financial transactions and promises of monetary benefits,” the petition alleges.
Claim of ₹50 Lakh Offer Mentioned in Petition
Among the allegations, Chinnaiah has stated that he was allegedly offered ₹50 lakh if the purported conspiracy succeeded.
The petition names several individuals, including Timarodi, Mattannavar, Vitthalagouda, and Jayant, describing them as key figures behind the alleged plan. The claims have been placed before the court as part of the ongoing legal proceedings.
At present, there has been no judicial finding confirming the allegations contained in the writ petition.
Karnataka High Court Adjourns Hearing to June 29
The Karnataka High Court has adjourned the further hearing on the matter to June 29. The court is expected to examine the submissions made by the petitioner and responses from the concerned parties in subsequent proceedings.
The latest petition has added another layer of complexity to the already high-profile Dharmasthala mass burial case, which continues to attract significant public and legal attention across Karnataka.
Legal Status of the Allegations
All allegations mentioned in the writ petition remain claims made by the petitioner before the court. The matter is currently sub judice, and the allegations have neither been proven nor adjudicated by the Karnataka High Court. Any determination regarding the veracity of the claims will depend on the outcome of the ongoing legal process.
