A 27-year-old man dies after a brutal assault allegedly by his ex-girlfriend’s husband
Bengaluru: A shocking murder case has surfaced from Bengaluru, where a 27-year-old man allegedly lost his life after visiting his former girlfriend’s house following her phone call. The incident took place in Shyamanna Garden under the limits of Byatarayanapura police station, creating tension in the area.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Qasim, a resident of Bidi Colony in Ramanagara district. Police have detained the former girlfriend for questioning while registering a murder case in connection with the incident.
According to a preliminary investigation, Mohammed Qasim and the woman were reportedly in a relationship nearly four years ago. However, the woman was later married to another man from Bengaluru following family arrangements.
Ex-Girlfriend Call Turns Fatal for Bengaluru Youth
Police said the tragic incident unfolded on the evening of May 25 after the woman allegedly contacted Qasim and asked him to visit her residence in Shyamanna Garden.
Trusting the invitation, Qasim reportedly travelled from Ramanagara to Bengaluru to meet her. However, things took a violent turn when the woman’s husband allegedly caught the two together inside the house.
Enraged over the situation, the husband, along with several family members, allegedly assaulted Qasim brutally. Sources said the victim suffered severe internal and external injuries during the attack.
Despite his condition, Qasim somehow managed to return to his residence in Ramanagara and rested there silently without immediately approaching the police.
Mohammed Qasim Succumbs During Treatment
As his health deteriorated rapidly, family members rushed him to a hospital where doctors treated him for three days. However, Qasim succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Following the death, police registered a murder case at Bengaluru City Police and launched a detailed investigation into the assault.
The former girlfriend has been taken into custody for questioning, while investigators are also examining the role of her husband and other family members allegedly involved in the attack.
Police officials are currently verifying call records, eyewitness accounts and medical reports to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the murder.
