Illicit relationship turns fatal near Jinke Bachahalli woman set on fire in car accused Ramanjinappa ends life near Bidadi police probe underway
Bengaluru: In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves across the city, a 35-year-old woman was allegedly burnt alive inside a car by her lover near Jinke Bachahalli in Doddaballapur taluk. The accused, identified as Ramanjinappa, later died by suicide after the crime, police confirmed.
The victim, Sujatha, a native of Devanahalli, was found charred inside the vehicle, with preliminary investigations pointing to a premeditated act following a strained illicit relationship.
Investigators revealed that Sujatha had left her home under his influence, but later refused to continue the relationship under his terms, leading to escalating tensions between the two.
“The accused allegedly forced the victim to sever ties with her family, and when she resisted, the situation turned violent,” police sources said.
During the investigation, police traced the vehicle involved in the crime. Records showed that the car belonged to a man named Suresh from Marasandra, which the accused had reportedly taken before committing the murder.
Officials confirmed that his body was recovered and further procedures are underway.
