Police registered a case after the accused allegedly molested a woman while she slept with her daughters at home
Beed: Police in Beed have registered a molestation case against a man accused of entering a married woman’s house and allegedly assaulting her while she was asleep, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The shocking incident reportedly took place in Kaij town of Beed district late on Friday night and has triggered concern among local residents over women’s safety.
Authorities have also booked two female relatives of the accused for allegedly attacking the victim during a confrontation that followed the incident.
Woman Allegedly Molested While Sleeping at Home
According to police sources, the married woman was asleep inside her house along with her two daughters when the accused allegedly entered the residence during the night.
The victim later alleged that the man molested her while she was sleeping.
Officials stated that the woman immediately confronted the accused after the incident, leading to a heated altercation inside the locality.
“A case has been registered based on the woman’s complaint and further investigation is underway,” police officials said.
Two Female Relatives Also Named in Complaint
Police said the complaint further accused two women related to the suspect of physically pushing and intimidating the victim during the confrontation on Saturday.
Following the complaint, authorities registered a case against all three individuals under relevant legal provisions.
The identity of the accused has not been publicly disclosed by investigators.
Officials from the local police station are currently examining statements from witnesses and gathering additional evidence related to the case.
Investigation Underway in Beed Molestation Case
The incident has once again raised concerns regarding crimes against women and safety inside residential areas at night.
Police officials stated that further legal action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
