Kolar: A 15-year-old boy who had just cleared the SSLC examination lost his life after drowning while celebrating with friends in Karnataka’s Kolar district.
The deceased has been identified as Kiran, son of Raghupathi. He had recently passed the SSLC examination, securing 239 out of 625 marks, and had gone out with friends to celebrate the moment.
Celebration Turns Fatal
According to initial reports, Kiran and his friends had gone to a nearby water body for a swim. During the outing, Kiran, who reportedly did not know how to swim, accidentally drowned.
What began as a moment of joy quickly turned into a tragedy, leaving family members and locals in deep shock.

As news of the incident spread, fire and emergency personnel rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace the boy’s body.
The incident has been reported under the jurisdiction of the Mulbagal Rural Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
