President lauds Siddaganga Mutt’s ‘Trividha Dasoha’ and education service, calls it a pillar of national development
Tumakuru: Highlighting the immense contribution of spiritual institutions to nation-building, Droupadi Murmu praised the legacy of Shivakumara Swamiji during the 119th birth anniversary celebrations, stating that the Siddaganga Mutt has played a crucial role in India’s development.
The President visited the Siddaganga Mutt and participated in the grand ceremony held at the Mutt’s exhibition grounds.
President Applauds Service to Society
Addressing the gathering, President Murmu said she was deeply honoured to visit the Mutt, which has been a beacon of service through education, food (Dasoha), and shelter for the underprivileged.
She emphasised that the institution truly reflects the philosophy of compassion, stating:
“The Mutt embodies the spirit that compassion is the foundation of dharma.”
Legacy of Education and Social Welfare
The Siddaganga Mutt is widely known for its ‘Trividha Dasoha’, providing food, education, and shelter, especially to poor and orphaned children.
Speakers highlighted that Shivakumara Swamiji dedicated his entire life to uplifting society, making education accessible to both underprivileged and girl children.
‘A Life of Dedication and Miracle’Speaking at the event, Siddalinga Swamiji described the seer’s journey as nothing short of a miracle, noting his unwavering commitment to a single mission for decades.
