Kolar: In a chilling case highlighting the rising incidents of suspicion-driven domestic violence, a man allegedly murdered his wife with a machete in Karnataka’s Kolar district, sending shockwaves across the KGF region. The brutal killing, reportedly triggered by doubts over the woman’s character, underscores a disturbing trend of crimes linked to suspicion and alleged illicit relationships.
The deceased has been identified as Eeshwaramma, while the accused husband, Gopinath, is a native of Peddur in Andhra Pradesh. The couple had recently visited relatives in Shindagani village in KGF taluk, where the tragic sequence of events unfolded.
In a sudden escalation, he reportedly attacked Eeshwaramma with a machete he was carrying, inflicting fatal injuries. The victim succumbed to excessive bleeding on the spot, leaving locals horrified by the brutality of the act.
“The attack was sudden and extremely violent. The victim had no chance to escape,” a source familiar with the investigation said.
Authorities have registered a case against Gopinath, and further investigation is currently underway to establish the full sequence of events and motive behind the killing.
