Yadgir: In a heart-wrenching tragedy that has shocked Karnataka, six members of the same family were burnt alive after a horrific collision between a private bus and a car near Shantapura Cross in Yadgir district.
The victims were reportedly returning after visiting the Tinthani Mouneshwara temple when the fatal accident occurred. The impact of the crash was so severe that the car caught fire, trapping passengers inside.
Family Returning From Temple Visit Meets Tragedy
According to preliminary reports, the family belonged to Sirwar in Raichur district and was travelling back home after darshan at the revered temple.
During the journey, their car collided with a private bus near Shantapura Cross, leading to a massive blaze moments after impact.
Six Burnt Alive in Car Fire
Officials said six family members inside the vehicle died on the spot after being engulfed in flames. Rescue teams and locals rushed to the scene, but the intensity of the fire made immediate rescue difficult.
The tragic deaths have sent shockwaves across both Yadgir and Raichur districts.
Two Children Seriously Injured
Two children travelling in the vehicle survived the crash but sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Their current condition is being closely monitored by doctors.
“The crash was extremely severe, and the car was completely gutted,” sources said.
Police Investigation Underway
Police teams reached the spot and launched an investigation into the cause of the collision. Authorities are examining whether overspeeding, lane error, or road visibility issues contributed to the tragedy.
