Bengaluru: In a deeply disturbing incident, a four-and-a-half-year-old girl was found dead on the outskirts of Bengaluru, raising serious concerns and prompting an intensive police investigation. The child, who belonged to a family from Assam, had been reported missing a day earlier.

According to police, the minor girl had been playing near her residence in the Vittasandra area on Thursday evening when she went missing. Despite frantic searches by her parents, she could not be located, following which a missing persons complaint was filed at the Electronic City Police Station on Friday.
During the search operation, the police discovered the child’s body near a wooded area close to Bolugutta in Electronic City limits. The recovery of the body has shocked local residents and authorities alike.
Investigation into Suspected Crime
Preliminary findings have raised serious suspicion of foul play, and police are probing all angles, including the possibility of assault. Officials have stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed after post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered at the Electronic City Police Station, and special teams have been deployed to identify and apprehend the suspect(s). CCTV footage from nearby areas and local inputs are being examined as part of the investigation.
