Four people died and 11 were injured after a passenger bus crashed into a bridge in Rajgarh district
A passenger bus travelling from Bengaluru to Indore crashed into a bridge in Beora, Rajgarh district, Madhya Pradesh, killing four people, including Bengaluru Cyber Crime Squad Inspector Ravi K.V.
Bhopal: Four people, including a Bengaluru Cyber Crime Squad police inspector, were killed after a passenger bus lost control and crashed into a 30-foot-high bridge in Beora city of Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district on Friday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Cyber Crime Squad Inspector Ravi K.V., bus driver Vikas Shukla, Belal Ali and Jyotiraditya Singh Goud.
Eleven people were injured in the accident and were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Four of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The accident occurred when the bus was travelling from Bengaluru to Indore. The Bengaluru Cyber Crime Squad personnel were reportedly travelling to Madhya Pradesh while searching for an accused in connection with a case.
According to police, the bus lost control and crashed into the bridge on the Bhopal Bypass. The impact was severe enough to throw around four passengers out of the bus. They fell approximately 30 feet onto the service road below.
Bengaluru Cyber Crime Squad Personnel Injured
Three other members of the Bengaluru Cyber Crime Squad were also injured in the accident.
The injured personnel have been identified as Sub-Inspector Ramesh Nayak, Assistant Sub-Inspector Srinivas and technical staff member Vishwanath.
Srinivas is reported to be in critical condition and has been shifted for further treatment. The accident also left several other passengers injured, including passengers from Uttar Pradesh.
The injured have been identified as Amit Kumar Pratap, Vinod Kumar Singh, Meenu Singh, Rakshit Singh, Surendra Pratap Singh, Ravi Sharma, eight-year-old Parth Sharma, Suman Sharma, Srinivas, Keshav, Ramesh Nayak, Sonu and Vishwanath.
Three Injured Shifted to Bhopal
Following the accident, the injured passengers were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Surendra Pratap Singh, Suman Sharma and Srinivas have been shifted to hospitals in Bhopal for further treatment.
Police and emergency personnel responded to the crash site and initiated rescue operations following the accident. Authorities are continuing to assess the condition of those injured in the crash.
The circumstances surrounding the bus losing control and colliding with the bridge are being examined by the police. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
