A Hyderabad-based software engineer was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a swimming pool at a farmhouse in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district after attending a weekend party with colleagues. Police have registered a murder case based on a complaint filed by the victim's family and are investigating all possible angles, including accident, suicide, and foul play.

Hyderabad: The mysterious death of a Hyderabad-based software engineer following a weekend farmhouse party has triggered a major police investigation in Telangana. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Gandla Ram, was found unconscious in a swimming pool at a farmhouse in the Choutuppal area of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district and was later declared dead at a hospital.

The incident has raised several questions after family members alleged foul play and sought a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the young techie's death.

Hyderabad Techie Found Dead After Farmhouse Gathering

According to police officials, Gandla Ram, a native of Mancherial district, was employed at a software company in Hyderabad's Ramanthapur area. He had joined approximately 15 colleagues, including his team leader, for a weekend gathering at a farmhouse in Choutuppal.

The celebrations reportedly began on Saturday evening and continued late into the night. However, the outing took a tragic turn when Ram was found unconscious in the swimming pool shortly after midnight.

Those present at the farmhouse immediately shifted him to a nearby hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

"The victim was found unconscious in the swimming pool after the party, and despite efforts to save him, he could not survive."

Police Register Murder Case in Techie's Death

Following the incident, Choutuppal police rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation. The body was later shifted for postmortem examination.

The case took a serious turn after Ram's father, G. Anjaiah, lodged a complaint alleging that there could be a murder angle behind his son's death. Based on the complaint, police registered a murder case and launched a detailed inquiry.

Investigators are now examining all possible circumstances that may have led to the death.

Injury Marks Raise Suspicion in Yadadri Death Case

During the preliminary investigation, police reportedly noticed injury marks on the victim's body, raising suspicions about whether the death was purely accidental.

Officials have not disclosed the exact nature of the injuries, but investigators believe the findings warrant a comprehensive examination of events that unfolded during the farmhouse gathering.

The absence of CCTV cameras at the farmhouse has complicated efforts to reconstruct the sequence of events.

"The presence of injury marks has prompted investigators to explore all possibilities, including foul play."

Statements of Party Attendees Under Scrutiny

Police have begun questioning everyone who attended the weekend party in an effort to piece together the timeline of events.

Investigators are collecting statements from colleagues, friends, and organisers who were present at the farmhouse when the incident occurred.

Authorities are also reviewing digital evidence, including mobile phone records and communication details, to determine whether any disputes or unusual developments took place before the death.

Postmortem and Forensic Reports Crucial to Investigation

Responding to the incident, Choutuppal Inspector N. Manmadha Rao confirmed that the investigation remains open and that no theory has been ruled out.

According to police, the exact cause of death will only be determined after the postmortem examination and forensic analysis reports are received.

"The real cause of death will become clear only after scientific and forensic examination of the evidence."

Officials said the investigation is currently proceeding from all angles, including accidental drowning, suicide, and homicide.

Family Demands Answers in Mysterious Death

The death of the young software engineer has left his family devastated and searching for answers. Relatives have demanded a transparent and impartial investigation to uncover the truth behind the incident.

Meanwhile, the case has attracted widespread attention in Telangana due to the unusual circumstances surrounding the death and the allegations raised by family members.

As police continue to question witnesses and await forensic findings, the mystery surrounding Gandla Ram's death remains unresolved.
