Tumakuru: A chilling case of triple death in Kunigal taluk has taken a disturbing turn, revealing a complex web of alleged illicit relationships and family betrayal that ended in tragedy. In Alkere village, a father allegedly killed his two minor children before dying by suicide, following a domestic dispute linked to his wife’s relationship with his nephew.
Police sources identified the deceased man as Shivanna, who was reportedly devastated after his wife Kavya, eloped with Hemanth, his sister’s son. The shocking development has triggered outrage and grief across the region, raising serious concerns over mental distress and family conflicts escalating into fatal outcomes.
The situation escalated when Kavya later left home with Hemanth, allegedly taking gold ornaments and cash. Though she reportedly returned after a police complaint at Kunigal Police Station, tensions remained high within the family.
The incident came to light the following morning when neighbors noticed unusual silence and alerted authorities. Police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation into the sequence of events.
“A case has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway to establish all circumstances leading to the deaths,” police officials stated.
