Bengaluru: In a shocking incident reported from Bengaluru, a 32-year-old man was brutally attacked by his own friends over an alleged old enmity within the jurisdiction of Byadarahalli Police Station. The assault, which occurred on the night of April 26, came to light only recently after crucial details emerged during the investigation.
Childhood Friends Turn Violent
The victim, identified as Prashant (32), was allegedly attacked by his childhood friends Darshan and Chandan, with whom he had studied since school days. According to family members, a minor dispute that occurred a few years ago is suspected to have escalated into a violent act of revenge.
Brutal Assault Inside Victim’s House
On the night of the incident, Prashant was reportedly alone at home, as his wife had gone to attend a family function related to her baby shower. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused allegedly forced their way into the house and attacked him with long sticks.
Sources indicate that the attackers showed no mercy during the assault, continuing to strike even as the victim lay severely injured and bleeding.
“They didn’t stop even after he collapsed… it was a merciless attack,” a local source said, describing the brutality of the incident.
Accused Flee After Recording Incident
In a disturbing twist, the accused allegedly recorded the attack and sent the video to another friend before fleeing the scene. They reportedly locked the house from the outside and escaped, leaving the victim in critical condition.
The incident came to light the next morning when the house owner checked the premises and found Prashant lying in a pool of blood.
Victim Battling for Life in Hospital
Prashant was immediately rushed to a private hospital for initial treatment and later shifted to ESI Hospital for advanced care. He is currently undergoing treatment and remains in critical condition, battling for his life.
