Veteran NCP leader Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for a routine check-up. Sources confirm stable condition and no serious health concerns
Mumbai: Veteran politician and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai for a routine health check-up, sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The 85-year-old Rajya Sabha MP was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital two days ago. Hospital sources stated that his condition is stable and there is no cause for concern at present.
Routine Check-Up, No Serious Health Issue
According to officials familiar with the development, Pawar’s hospitalisation is part of a scheduled medical evaluation, and doctors are conducting standard tests.
“There is no serious problem. It is a routine health check-up,” hospital sources said.
The update has brought relief to party workers and supporters amid initial concerns over the senior leader’s health.
Recent Public Appearance Noted
Sharad Pawar was recently seen taking the oath as a Rajya Sabha member while seated in a wheelchair, drawing attention to his health but also underscoring his continued political engagement.
History of Health Concerns
Earlier this year, the former Maharashtra Chief Minister was hospitalised twice in Pune in February, reportedly due to a chest infection and dehydration.
Despite these episodes, Pawar has remained active in political affairs, continuing to play a key role in national and state-level politics.
Supporters Await Further Updates
Party leaders and supporters are closely monitoring updates on his health, though current reports indicate that there is no immediate risk and discharge is likely after routine evaluation.
