Chikkaballapur: In a chilling incident, a tempo owner-cum-driver was found dead inside his own vehicle near Aroor village, triggering suspicions of murder and foul play.

The deceased has been identified as Subramani (48), a resident of Devanahalli, who earned his livelihood by renting out his Ashok Leyland mini tempo.

Body Found Near Highway After He Went Missing
According to reports, Subramani had gone out on Saturday for a vehicle hire assignment but failed to return home, raising concern among family members.

A search was launched, and his tempo was later found parked near the Bengaluru–Hyderabad National Highway (NH-44), where his body was discovered inside the vehicle under suspicious circumstances.

Family members have raised serious doubts over the nature of his death. Subramani’s brother, Muniraju, alleged that the deceased had been in contact with a woman from Paresandra village, and suspects that something may have gone wrong during his visit or return.

“There is suspicion over his death. It needs a thorough investigation,” family sources indicated.

Police Probe to Determine Cause of Death
Officials from Peresandra Police Station rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary inspection.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine whether:

  1. The death was natural,
  2. A case of suicide, or
  3. A murder followed by abandonment of the body and vehicle.

Further forensic examination and postmortem reports are awaited to establish the exact cause of death.
